It's about time, right?

This report is about Eurofurence 15 and includes tons of photos. Hope you enjoy reading it!

Sunday

Originally Kuddlepup planned to arrive at 10:30, but his flight got delayed so eventually Yamavu and I picked him up at the airport around 14:30. Yamavu was driving, and we took the pretty route through Vienna and showed him things while going to my apartment. Kuddlepup took a quick shower, then we went to a nearby Restaurant where Atkelar was waiting already. Had some good food, Ezra made a short appearance, and mayonnaise exploded which required me to change clothes before we continued to the Museumsquartier. We walked towards the center of Vienna and showed KP The Museum of Art and the Museum of Natural History, the Hofburg, Graben, Peters Church, and eventually the St. Stephen's Cathedral. After that we went to the Danube Tower to enjoy some Coffee/Fanta Floaties/Hot Chocolate and a beautiful view over Vienna. I had to head to my parents home and take care of my hamster (as he was sick) and get some things I forgot, in the meanwhile people started watching Funday PawPet Show. Atkelar left earlier to edit the Video of Ezra, but Maily came over and we had a lot of fun watching FPS.

Here is Ezra's view of the day (filmed and edited by Atkelar):

Ezra's day at the danube tower, also available on YouTube.

Monday

Got up at.. 11:00 I think, had some kebab and then went to my parent's garden with Kuddlepup to feed our tortoise and fetch some apples. Then we met up with Maily and went to the Schönbrunn Palace where Yamavu joined.

A big fountain behind the palace.

We met lots of squirrels, they were damn cute!

A view over Vienna from the Gloriette showing the back of the Schönbrunn Palace.

Then we went to the Schönbrunn Zoo, the oldest continuously operating Zoo in the world, which was really nice and not too stressful :) Yamavu had to leave earlier to pick up the rental car for EF, we stayed until the zoo closed and went to a mall near my place later where we had schnitzel with Tabbiefox and his girlfriend Spikie. Went to my place again in order to get some sleep for the 8-hour drive...

Here's a map of what we saw on Sunday and Monday.

Tuesday

I hardly got any sleep, as usual before EF. Got up at 3:30 and made a quick breakfast for my guests. Yamavu, Karakina and Lauri also came to my place as we drove as a convoi. We realized we had way too much luggage for our car, so luckily Yamavu had some place left in his rental car. The drive was boring and uneventful and I couldn't wait to arrive at EF.

Eventually we arrived around noon, and surprisingly the Hotel was EMPTY. At EF14 we arrived and there were tons of suiters and people in the lobby, but this EF.. nothing.. Well at least it gave us some time to get our stuff to the room. Most important thing: I met Henrieke! Also Katara of course!

I forgot what we did most of the day, but I guess saying hello to everyone. We went to Crazy Horse later for some really tasty steak (Tabbie, Sonny, Yamavu, me and Mr. Megaphone). Later.. hanging out in the lobby, Tyler also appeared since he couldn't wait to get attention.. he seems to have shrunk though.. mysterious.

Tyler, Sonny and Ghali.

Tyler entertaining the only kid at EF.

Wednesday (Day 1)

Sonny was so uber-cute! We were hanging out in the lobby where we met many awesome people like Duncan, Whiteyfawks, etc.. Henrieke did the cutest roomsign ever. Tabbie's awesome suit debuted! Everyone loved Tabbie!

Sonny being cute!

We met Titash and Kougo, and drew on the Charity Clog.

BBQ was absolutely TERRIBLE :(

The Cutlets were like leather.. bleeding leather. The sausages tasted like floor and well that was about everything they had. At least I got to annoy the GoH table with our megaphone and got a chance to say hello to Yippee and Croc. Opening ceremony was nice.. Later, small Tyler caused mischief in the Lobby again.

We were happy to see that Nice Otter (Snit Otter) found a new home in Europe. :).

Tyler can draw too!

Thursday (Day 2)

Got up more or less early to meet up with Henrieke and Yamavu to prepare the cartoon drawing panel, but more artists joined so eventually it was just a nice little art jam :P Eventually we were even less prepared than last year.. It went fine though, just a bit longer than expected (hope it wasn't too boring). Henrieke did a GREAT job at live drawing, and Duncan did a great job explaining things in a very toony way. :) After that we had even more art jam. I think that day we also met ZotCoon and called Trufflehog :)

Stage Fever.. was.. uhm.. meh.

I really liked the whole thing that surrounded the skits, great work everyone (especially Shay!), the skits were mostly kinda boring/confusing/failures. Some were really cool though (again great work Shay and Keenora), and the last skit was fabulous, just like last year. Those UK Furs have a great sense of humor! :D

Due to all those delays, Croc's set started VERY late, I spent some time in the Artist Lounge and missed the beginning sadly.. When I noticed it started I saw only critters on the dance floor, so I went to look for Tyler and dragged him on the dancefloor.

He enjoyed it a lot but isn't in the best shape, so eventually I had to go and dance instead of him. ;).

The mix was simply the BEST thing ever, I can't thank Croc enough (He surprised me by letting the mix be highly influenced by my taste). Everyone else loved it too it seems, the dance floor was packed the whole 2 hours!! After the set Tyler stalked Croc again and fanboyed over him :)

Everyone loves Croc!

Tyler also met Siefer and got all jealous about his colorful blinky tubes.

Kenai's set was awesome as well but sadly I was way too exhausted to move. I spent some time in the Artist Lounge afterwards with Titash, Katara, Ashanti, Henrieke and friends.

Titash made this AWESOME drawing only because I bought him one of those Nutella to go things. He's simply amazing!

Friday (Day 3)

Missed the group photo but WHY THE HECK do they have to schedule it so early in the morning?

I saw the dissolving crowd from the window when I was going down... well.. at least I was just in time for Croc's first panel, which was very interesting!

Avery! (Photo by Yamavu)

I forgot what we did after that but it most likely involved giant inflatable hammers!

Attended Yippee's panel at 15:00 which was really awesome as well!

A drawing I made for Yippee.

Right at the end of the Panel Blooper and Camper appeared, what a great surprise! They did lots of fun stuff and me and Henrieke took tons of photos :).

Blooper andCamper hugging.

Blooper, trying to erase Camper with a big pencil.

Tyler also joined later since he's been dying to meet those two!

The definite proof that Tyler is real and not just me in a costume! At some point in this post I should give a lot of credit to Henrieke though hint hint.

Being an attention whore, Tyler gathered photographers around him on the playground, got some great shots there!

Feng, Keenora, Tabbie, Otter, Camper, forgot his name, Blooper, Yamavu and Tyler.

Tyler met Andre, legendary hairless master of alcohol.

Tabbie, Yippee and Tyler! (photo by Yamavu)

In the evening Henrieke, I, Yamavu, Kougo and Yippee went to Crazy Horse for some nice dinner. We got chips and salsa and they kept open just for us :)

Saturday (Day 4)

Fursuit parade! Tyler was way too lazy to get up since it was DAMN EARLY IN THE MORNING! So I just went down and took some photos.

The photoshoot at the end of the fursuit parade.

Later we met up and went to the photoshoot (Blooper, Camper, Avery and Tyler). It was lots of fun and they got some very nice photos!

Tyler, Camper, Blooper and Avery.

We went outside and had some nice photos taken as well. (Photo by Yamavu)

Afterwards we had some fun in the Lobby, and later Tyler and Blooper (who didn't have his room key so he had to wait) attended Croc's second panel which was awesome. Luckily the room was (in my opinion) kinda cold.

Before the PawPet Show began, Henrieke and I went to Yippee's Room and we all had some yummy (fatty) Pizza. (Kokoes, Bacon, Croc, Yippee, Kwik, Henrieke, Yotie and me).

The most amazing Sunset EVER!

Went to see the PawPet Show afterwards with Henrieke and Kougo, the benches were kinda uncomfy.. the show was good though! In the breaks I went outside and talked a bit with Bacon who is by the way an AWESOME GUY. Got to hear the awesome opening of the Big Blue Dance by Keenora, danced a bit, went to the Artist Lounge, socialized, etc.. Katara and Ashanti had to leave early in the morning the next day so as last action we did some "dirty" dancing behind the stage beamers at the Big Blue Dance. That was soooo fun :D

Tyler also appeared, and was kinda.. different ;)

Ask Croc for Details :D

Sunday (Day 5)

Lots of people leaving, most of the day consisted of saying-bye to people. Luckily many awesome people stayed! So for lunch we went down to Suhl (Yippee, Croc, Bacon, Titash, Henrieke, Yamavu, Tabbie, me). It took us about 1 hour to find a darn restaurant that wasn't closed on Sundays!! Eventually we found a very nice Italian restaurant and had pizza/pasta.

Kougo, Yamavu, Croc, me, Henrieke, Bacon, Yippee, Spikie, Tabbie and Titash.

We noticed that quite a lot of furries were there, and found out that there was some suiting event going on. :) A very nice way to end a con, and the local people liked it too (probably also because Suhl is a terribly boring place). We went back to the hotel and had some fun with the remaining people, also we FINALLY managed to call Louve who was very happy about the call it seems :D We had a nice art jam in the lobby in the evening which was tons of fun, later I got to suit as someone else's character! (FUN!) Deaddog Party was a big fail since some VERY SMART person thought doing a cheese fondue in a NOT-AT-ALL-VENTILATED room was a good idea. It smelled even worse than that smelly fursuiter who never washed his suit.. People escaped as fast as they could. I feel sorry for Kenai.. :/ Later I got drunk with Sonny who un-ate his Dinner in front of the hotel.. eww! All in all a very nice evening!

Monday

Got up sometime.. I guess 11?

Titash, me, Henrieke and Yamavu saying good-bye to each other in a violent way.

Saying good-bye was sad, but there's always a next time.. Had some hot chocolate with Henrieke in the lobby where we sat with FawksBeaumont, Loewi, Kralle, BBF, and Oma & Opa Kage. We also ran into Adam and Val, said goodbye, Val drew both Henrieke and me something (thanks again). First stop was the Rewe Market, where we had a nice little breakfast (and some complex custom-sandwiches for the Americans). I bought some Kinder-Surprise Eggs for everyone. Next stop was a restplace on the Autobahn. We had a Convoi of 3 Cars, first one was Nikoshi, Winterheart and Okill, Second one was Yippee, Croc and Bacon, third one was KP, Henrieke, Tabbie and me.

YMCA!

We arrived at Henrieke's place at about 21:00, her mother made some AWESOME lasagne. It was great sitting together, but everyone was tired too so most people left soon and we went to bed.

Yippee, KP, Okill, Nikoshi, Bacon. Not in pic: Henrieke's parents, Tabbie, Henrieke, Croc, me, Winterheart.

Tuesday

Got up early to pick up Emejn from the airport.. we were so tired.. Then the bad/good message came, Emejn had 4 hours of delay, so we managed to sleep some more and went to the airport afterwards. We finally met up in Amsterdam in the afternoon, which is a horrible place to go by car. But since we planned to go suiting as well, we had to park in the center, which cost us 4€ per hour (ouch!)

First we walked around a bit, saw coffeeshops and the red light district...

Tabbie, Bacon, Duco, Croc, Emejn and Kenai walking in the streets of Amsterdam.

... then got into our fursuits and entertained people a bit.

Splenda, Tabbie, Tyler, Ghali, Avery, Sonny and Storm on Dam Square in Amsterdam.

People enjoyed it, but sadly it began to rain soon so we had to abort the whole thing. Afterwards we went to a steak restaurant. The food was good, we got to draw a bit.. Half a liter of coke cost 6,50€ (about 200USD). Yeah.. amazing.

Our group in an expensive Argentinan steak house near Dam Square.

Tabbie, Henrieke and I also did a dedicated Splenda page:

Drawings of Splenda by Tabbie, Henrieke and me.

Lots of bunnies!

A sketchbook page with drawings by Henrieke, Latinvixen, Tabbie, Kuddlepup, Emejn and Duco.

People also drew into my sketchbook! (Upper left sketch was by Latinvixen the day before)

I enjoyed it a lot there, seriously there's nothing better than sitting at a table with friends from 5 countries, but sadly people had to leave soon since the Americans went to see Paris the next day. Emejn, KP, Henrieke, Tabbie and I went back to Henrieke's place to get some more sleep.

Wednesday

We've been lazy! Emejn, KP, Henrieke, Tabbie and I just went shopping for cheese and to a nice restaurant. Finally some rest on that day!

Henrieke, Emejn and Kuddlepup having lunch at Brasserie Ludiek.

Thursday

Some friend of Henrieke saw the costume heads in the living room and asked us to go perform in the parrot park 15 minutes from Henrieke's place.

Tyler among some ruffed lemurs.

Henrieke got to be Tyler since I didn't feel like doing much that day.

Kuddlepup, Henrieke and Emejn in our little fursuit lounge.

We even got our own little fursuit/giant animal costume lounge with free snacks and drinks!

I believe also on that day we called a ton of people over Skype like Kipper and Jill in the evening.

Friday

I pretty much forgot what we did on this day, judging by the photos we've been shopping. They had this little computers for kids to draw on.

My try at creating art on a very unresponsive touchscreen.

Henrieke drew Goldie (and her screen was even worse to draw on than mine).

Later Tabbie and me had to leave, Henrieke was obviously very sad about that.

We went to Cody's place at first where we also met Keenora and Shivon and went to Landschaftspark where we also met Croc, Bacon, Yippee, Val, Adam, BBF, Nightfox, Tani, Cheetah, Loewi, etc etc etc again. The event was pretty much a disaster since it started to rain heavily and the lights were turned off, luckily I decided not to suit. I had a nice chat with Adam later.

Afterwards we went to Burger King to dry a bit and get some food, we said a final goodbye to Val and Adam and went back to Cody's place to get some well-earned sleep on the comfy couch!

Saturday

Got up at about 11 and chatted with Croc on AIM, and we agreed that we should meet up again for a proper goodbye. So we went to Centro (big mall) which was VERY crowded. We had a hard time finding each other and also to get a big enough table.

Cody, Keenora, Bacon, Croc and Yippee at the food court in the Centro mall.

Eventually we did find a table, had a quick lunch and said goodbye to each other. It was saaad but I'll see many of you guys again soon, can't wait!

After Centro Tabbie and I made a stop in Frankfurt at Atimon's place where we chilled a bit and made a little art jam. The drive after that was pretty long and boring, but the streets were practically empty and OH MY GOD I love the German Autobahn. Almost straight roads and no speed limits!

We got home at about.. 3:00 I think, Tabbie stayed in Vienna for a night since he was too tired to make it back to Bratislava.

THE END.

Hope you enjoyed reading!

Some shoutouts (and please please please don't get mad if you're not mentioned, I just recap some things that especially stuck in my mind). I made these separate because of the danger of lj ruining the post (if posts get too long and you tag tons of people, lj likes to mess up everything).
