Location: Zeughaus 24
It was pretty spontaneous, but thanks to Henrieke's brother lending us his car, we decided to attend CFD. Since we would have to leave around midnight already, we spent a while trying to find people to meet up with before, otherwise it would've been a very short trip. Neo, Tani, Nightfox and Katara had time, giving us more than enough reason to make our way to Cologne! On the way it looked like very bad weather but as soon as we arrived it stopped raining at least. We snatched one of the last parking spots and were greeted by a big crowd of furries who just finished a fursuit outing. After meeting up with Neo, we dumped our suits in the fursuit lounge and went to Starbucks in order to sketch a bit. After an hour we left and met up with Tani, Nightfox and Katara and went to the Italian restaurant near the Zeughaus. We chatted a bit, had very tasty pizzas and I showed my Polaroid photos from Japan around. Henrieke finished a drawing for Tani and Nightfox there.

Around 20:30 we went to the dance and luckily didn't have to stand in line anymore. Since we registered just the day before, we got improvised badges. It was already pretty full and the amount of suiters definitely has increased a lot since we've last been to CFD. We had no idea who was coming, so we were really happy to meet friends we don't see that often! The crazy british people came all the way from the UK a few hours before CFD and took the plane back just a few hours later. Davuu was also there, we were happy to meet her as she won't be at EF this year. Yagfox definitely won the price for having the best open-face bunny costume at the dance. ;) Ace just got his new suit, made by the extremely talented Skyote, it's her second commission and it looks absolutely adorable and well-made! That wasn't the only premiere, BBF also got his new suit, Spikey. Since we had our new 3D camera with us, we tried to get some nice photos there! These photos require red/cyan glasses.

Since I was tired already and had to drive later, I didn't dance much but around 22:00 Henrieke and me suited up since many people still never saw Lindy and Hop. The only other times they were in public were Disneyland Halloween and FWH. Lindy and Hop roamed around a bit, but it was difficult in the dark with flashing lights everwhere. Thanks to Neo, we got some nice videos of them and CFD in general though! The music was good as always and Cheetah obviously had a good time DJing. Sadly we didn't get to hear BBF's and Kenai's sets anymore as we had to leave around 0:30 already as I didn't feel comfortable driving all the way back to the Netherlands when too tired. It was a great evening, I was really happy to meet many friends, and even though it was shorter than usual I enjoyed it a lot!
Thanks to everyone who made CFD happen, I'll definitely try to make it again next time!
