Location: Veldhoven Parrot Park
Last weekend Tabbiefox and me went to Henrieke's place in order to spend an awesome weekend there.
We met up in Brno and were flying directly to Eindhoven from there (flight costs were only 50€ per person, with luggage, for a return ticket!). Soon after we arrived, we went to the shapeways factory for a tour where Henrieke registered us. Shapeways is that company that 3D-prints pretty much anything you send them in every material imaginable! It was pretty interesting :)

On saturday we all went to Eindhoven during daytime and looked around at stores and the city in general, we ended up eating in a nice irish pub and got to see a chinese parade. In the evening Tabbiefox, I and Henrieke's brother went back to Eindhoven to see the city at night, we went to a speciality beer store and I got to try incredibly good coconut beer, the taste was mind-blowing! :P
Today we got up early, sadly the weather forecast was right and it rained, unlike the two days before. With good hopes I packed my suit and we went to the park which was located only 10 minutes from Henrieke's house. At the park we met up with Pegla, Rin, Kenai, Storm and Troetel.

The park was celebrating its 25th anniversary and therefore on this day, lots of events were planned, mostly for kids. Since the park runs mostly on donations and they asked us to come, of course we couldn't say no. Sadly, due to the rain, there was almost nobody there. Eventually we went suiting inside the tropical house which is very nicely themed and contains lots of exotic birds. We didn't encounter many kids (maybe 15-20), but at least they seemed to be very entertained. :)

All in all I felt very sorry for everyone who put work into this, without the rain I'm sure the park would've been packed with people having a good time! If they make an event again I'll sure try to attend!
After the event we went to a nice pancake restaurant with Henrieke's family, Henrieke, Pegla, Kenai and Tabbiefox. Had a little artjam, tasty pancakes and fun in the children playground area. ;)
It was a great weekend and I loved seeing people I don't meet that often!
