Vienna Pride 2026

Location: Vienna

Saturday

Tabbie, Spikie and Nico came by around 11:00 to pick me up. I went to the supermarket and got us some rolls before. When I went inside, it was sunny. when I got out, it rained super hard and I got so soaked on the way home that I had to switch my clothes. We stayed at my place a bit and waited out the rain, then drove to the MuseumsQuartier parking garage. On the way you could already see lots of people who were in theme for the parade. We got into our fursuits and went to the Ring street, where the parade was already ongoing. We met up with Goddy and Daryl, who was staying with goddy for the weekend. Coorandilla also joined us.

Lots of people took photos and the vibe was great. There were a few more drops of rain, but nothing too bad. Sadly no rainbow visible though, but there were enough rainbows everywhere else anyway!

A bit further, Atura and Yamavu also found us.

When we saw almost the entire parade come by, we joined the parade a bit. I felt a bit bad for the EU truck, which was the last one of the parade, as it did have amazing music, but no dancing crowd behind it, only cleanup vehicles.

We made it until the State Opera house, where people had their own pride party on the balcony. After 3 hours of suiting, we decided to end it and walked back to the garage together with Coorandilla. We very much craved an iced latte and some air conditioning, so we went to Starbucks and got all of that. Yamavu and Atura joined us at Starbucks, later also Goddy and Daryl, as well as ???.

We stayed there for a while, I tried to scribble a but, but was too tired from suiting. Outside Starbucks, we spent another 20 minutes saying good-byes, then Tabbie, Spikie, Nico and I went back to the car. They dropped me off at home, where I took a long and cold shower.

Conclusion

As always, the Pride Parade in Vienna is amazing! Such a great vibe, the world needs more of that. Even if you're not from Vienna, it's well worth a visit!
